Happy Holidays! The celebratory season is upon us, filled with social events and pressures that often lead to indulgence in food and drink.
How much is too much? What is a moderate amount of alcohol? The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services defines moderate drinking as no more than one drink a day for women and no more than two drinks a day for men.
This number might seem absurd to many social drinkers, but a recent study found that adding just one more drink a day caused heart problems in some women. CNN's Dr. Gupta explains in this video:
Alcohol and Atrial Fibrillation
So be good to yourself this holiday season! Enjoy yourself. Partake in every pleasure. Just don't overdo.
